Summer 2026 Staff Job Openings – Camp Chateaugay

Camp Chateaugay is currently hiring enthusiastic, caring, and hardworking staff members to join our team for Summer 2026 in the Adirondacks of New York. Staff become part of a close-knit international community while helping create an unforgettable summer experience for campers.

Counselor Positions

Woodworking Counselor

Lead engaging woodworking activities for campers from a range of different project while teaching safety, different techniques, teamwork, and creativity. They will also be a bunk counselor, supervising and living in the cabins with a specific age group – separate from their activity they teach.

Golf Counselor

Teach and coach golf skills for campers of varying ages and abilities while promoting sportsmanship, confidence, and a positive learning environment both at our camp driving range and at a local course. They will also be a bunk counselor, supervising and living in the cabins with a specific age group – separate from their activity they teach.

Lacrosse Counselor

Teach and coach lacrosse skills for campers of varying experience levels while promoting teamwork, sportsmanship, and confidence. Also they will be a bunk counselor, supervising and living in the cabins with a specific age group – separate from their activity they teach.

Archery Counselor

Provide safe and engaging archery instruction while supervising campers and helping develop their technique and confidence. They will also be a bunk counselor, supervising and living in the cabins with a specific age group – separate from their activity they teach.

Dates: June 13 – August 12, 2026
Compensation: $2,000–$3,000 depending on experience
Benefits: Travel, room & board, and all meals included

Male Unit Leader

Provide leadership and supervision for a camper unit while supporting counselors, coordinating daily schedules, maintaining camper wellbeing, speaking with parents and helping create a positive camp culture.

Dates: June 10 – August 12, 2026
Compensation with travel allowance built in: $3,000–$3,500 depending on experience
Benefits: Travel, room & board, and all meals included
