Our unique program permits children to choose many of their activities. Two daily activity periods each day are designated by camp. To provide a little more leadership, our youngest campers have three assigned activity periods .

Campers move through their assigned activities with their cabin mates. By assigning activities as cabin groups, campers are exposed to activities they might not have considered and participate as a
social group.

With only two or three periods being designated, there are three to four periods available each day for every camper’s choice. With only two or three periods being designated, there are three to four periods available each day for every camper’s choice.

At the beginning of each week campers are asked to decide on the activities that will make up their elective schedule for the upcoming week. This system provides continuity within the camper’s schedule and the opportunity to develop reasonable levels of proficiency.

These programming choices give children a sense of freedom and individuality, and encourage them to explore and excel in new areas. At the same time, the program stresses the value of the individual, wherever his or her interests lie.
